At MWI Components, everything we do is grounded in a simple set of values: work hard, build quality products, and stand behind the relationships we create. Our story began in 1985 when Bruce Nystrom founded Metal Works out of a dirt-floor shed with limited tools but a clear purpose, to manufacture dependable metal building components and take pride in doing the job right. That early commitment to craftsmanship and integrity still defines who we are today, more than 40 years later.
As the post-frame industry has grown and evolved, we’ve grown with it. Through steady investment in our people, processes, and capabilities, we expanded from those humble beginnings into a trusted manufacturer, and distributor of post-frame products. A key milestone came in 2013 when we consolidated the manufacturing business and distribution business into one, allowing us to scale our reach while remaining rooted in the same principles that built our business, consistency, reliability, and doing right by our customers.
Today, we’re proud to offer a broad and diverse range of metal building components designed to perform in real-world conditions. Our product lineup includes sliding doors, ridge and under ridge ventilation systems, reflective insulation, cupolas, track and hardware, roofing products, and more, serving agricultural, residential, and commercial post-frame applications. Our quality team works closely with production to ensure expectations and standards are held when distributing our products.
That commitment to quality and innovation is reflected in Infinity Shield®, our RIMA-verified foil insulation product, as well as in everything we manufacture at our state-of-the-art facility in Iowa. By maintaining control over our production and staying focused on continuous improvement, we’re able to deliver competitive pricing, fast lead times, and dependable quality and excellent customer service. Even as we continue to grow, we remain committed to our core values, building strong partnerships, standing behind our products, and focusing on what comes next.
